Do NOT Make a Wedding Website!

Consider instead a social media page - Here's why...
For starters, Facebook is Forever. I'm sure you've heard some variation of this growing up, and it's true - I still have a MySpace page floating out there somewhere. One of the biggest problems with those wedding websites our competition offers, aside from their cost and complexity, is that they're temporary. Even if you are willing to pay that $20 annual fee INDEFINITELY - there's no guarantee the site will still be around by your 10th anniversary. Who knows? They might get pushed out of business by a much better, local competitor. :) By choosing a custom social media page, you're ensuring your site isn't something that's quickly forgotten. Instead it becomes this living wedding album that grows with you over the years - not just with wedding photos, but with anniversary parties, baby announcements and every other milestone on this journey of yours.
That covers permanence - now let's discuss functionality...
When you launch a Facebook page you automatically get a second messenger profile that you can use to communicate with potential vendors keeping all communications instant and organized.
You can create events from your page, such as the wedding itself, the rehearsal dinner, bachelor and bachelorette parties, wedding showers and collect RSVPs and update the guests with a single post.
You can also create groups from your page, so for example the wedding party can be a dedicated SM group.
You can share your wedding registry, post engagement photos and even keep people in the loop that aren't attending the wedding - if you want.
And the best part is pretty much everyone already has the app on their phones. So not only is it super easy to share the page with your family and friends, but they can easily upload the pics they take at your wedding.
The cost is $0 and you can choose your own custom URL ie: Facebook.com/Austin&LeeAnn.
The process is pretty straight forward and I'll post a how-to video on here soon, but in the meantime if you need any help just email me and I'll walk you through it. Dale@OmahWeddings.net
